Archbishop Carroll lost a 7-6 heartbreaker to Monsignor Bonner yesterday, while playing on a very sloppy field. Bonner jumped out to an early 7-0 lead thanks to a Joe Hartley touchdown reception. The Patriots responded with a long drive of their own which ended with a Rahsul Faison 2-yard touchdown run. Carroll’s kicker, Jimmy Weyler, missed the following extra point, which ultimately turned out to be the difference in the game. The highlight of the game for Carroll was the continued stellar play from their defense. The Patriots currently have the least points allowed in the league. Senior linebacker, Matt Della Donna, led the charge yesterday recording three sacks. The defense also forced two fumbles, one recovered by Matt Martilotti and the other by Harry Rohlfing.

Carroll looks to turn their luck around this Friday night when they square off in a game that holds heavy play-off implications against the Cardinal O'Hara Lions.
