Today marked the end of the Lansdale Catholic girls' tennis team's regular season. The team took on Archbishop Wood and ended the match with a final score of 4-1. The match was originally scheduled on Thursday, Oct. 1, but as a result of the rainy weather, it was cancelled before it began.

The team, which was granted the No.1 seed, will begin their first round of playoffs playing Archbishop Carroll. Ending their season with an undefeated league record, the Crusaders are ecstatic with their athletic achievements.

Karley Manzo, a senior who has played second doubles for the team the entire season, commented on the team's success and said, "I feel great about our season and we have really good momentum going into the playoffs. I think if we come together as a team and continue what we are doing we will do well." Jackie Campbell, who plays first doubles, added "Well this is my first playoffs so I am a little nervous, but mostly excited. It is definitely nerve racking, being that we are so close to the championship, but I feel that our team is ready to dominate."

As the team prepares for their season to conclude, they also prepare to say goodbye to their 10 senior players. As Brenna Husk, a current junior, said previously, the rest of the team is sad to see them go. Sarah Duffy, a junior doubles player, also voiced her opinion and added, "I'm really sad that all the seniors are graduating because they are some of the greatest friends I've made. They've taught me so much about tennis and life in general. Next season won't be the same without the ten of them but I'm excited for the opportunities for all the underclassmen."

-The Crusader's played a make-up match vs. Cardinal O'Hara on Monday. Oct. 1. The final match score was 3-2.
