Lansdale Catholic Girls' Soccer Heading to State Playoffs

PHILADELPHIA- Lansdale Catholic's 9-0 victory over Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush Wednesday at Northeast High School cinched the District 12-AA title for the Crusaders.

Despite their loss for the PCL title against Ryan, the Crusaders knew they were District title bound.

Lansdale Catholic's Jules LaSanta celebrated her birthday by scoring the game’s first two goals with one assist.

The Crusaders led 6-0 in the first half.

Crusaders' sophomore Kate Henesey set the new single season goal scoring record of 31 after adding a hat trick in the second half.

Lansdale Catholic's Erin Toburen scored two goals along with goals by Erin Andris and Kayla Hopkins sealing the win. Keeper Cailey Maxwell maintained the net perusing her offensive line.

This marks Lansdale Catholic's third District 12 championship and the first since 2012.

The Crusaders advance to the state tournament beginning Tuesday, November 10th.
