NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA- In what decided the Inter-Academic League championship on a chilly Saturday afternoon, Haverford School (16-3-2) defeated Episcopal Academy (14-7-4), 2-0.

Haverford jumped ahead, 1-0, on a first-half goal by Connor Gregory. In the second half, Alec Haas increased Haverford’s lead to 2-0. From that point, Episcopal was unable to sustain any momentum against the stingy Fords’ defense.

This is the fourth consecutive Inter-Academic League Title for the Fords.

“A couple of us seniors have been at Haverford School for fourteen years,” Haas said. “The dream is always to win the Inter-Ac championship. To win it four times in a row is the biggest honor.”
