BRYN MAWR, PA - The Baldwin School girls’ basketball team hosted Springside Chestnut Hill on Tuesday, January 5 in a close game all the way to the final buzzer.

But, the Springside Blue Devils defeated the Baldwin Bears after an explosive second half with 29 points for Springside.

Senior Essence Walden came up huge for the Blue Devils scoring the only five points in the first quarter and a total 15 points for the entire game. Right behind Walden was junior Chloe Burns who contributed 10 points to the victory.

Baldwin senior Danielle Hammond took over for the Bears scoring 19 points and senior Alexandria Brittingham added 11 more points to the scoreboard.  Although, it wasn’t enough for them to take the win, their strong defense did not go unnoticed. Unfortunately for Baldwin, the Blue Devils’ fiery offense could not be stopped. The final score was 47-39.
