DREXEL HILL, PA-  Bonner-Prendergast girls’ basketball team dominated their home court last night in a 40-point win against Little Flower.

What started out a little sluggish in the first quarter rebounded quick with a major 62-22 victory over Little Flower (0-9).

“We started out very slowly but in the middle of the first quarter I inserted two players off the bench that started a 12-0 run,” said Bonner-Prendergast head coach Tom Stewart.

The Pandas took an 11-point lead in the first quarter (17-6) and never looked back.  Sophomore Jaelyn Durrett scored four 3s alone in the first quarter then another three in the fourth scoring a total of 15 before the night ended.

“We were able to play all 14 varsity players in which all contributed especially in the second half,” said Stewart.

Senior Princess Clemens and sophomore Emily Monaghan played strong defense which reinforced the Pandas taking control early in the game.

Sophomore Nyah Garrison added 12 points along with junior Maggie McPeak’s 9 points contributed nicely for the win.

The Pandas (10-2 overall, 4-1 league) face Bishop McDevitt at home tomorrow night.
