RADNOR, PA- A big fourth quarter gives Carroll Girls a 47-38 win over rival Bonner-Prendergast.

Monday night, Archbishop Carroll Girls Basketball hosted Bonner/Prendergast at Cabrini College’s Dixon Center. Carroll gave Bonner/Prendergast the loss, hitting near 85 percent from the foul line. Both teams entered the match 4-1 in the Philadelphia Catholic League.

The Carroll Patriots played a physical first quarter and put the pressure on the Pandas early by putting up a quick five-point lead. Senior, Princess Clemons hit back with seven points and Junior, Maggie McPeak added three more from outside the arc to put the Pandas going into the locker room at the half, up by one.

The Panda’s lead grew slowly in the second half with the help of a three-point bucket from Sophomore, Emily Monaghan and Junior, Caroline Manfre getting a four of her eight points on the night that had them up by five with eight minutes remaining.

The Panda’s defense could not hold down sophomore, Molly Masciantonio who put up 16 in the second half including two from three-point range and a perfect four of four from the free throw line.

Wednesday night the Patriots go to North Philly to take on Little Flower who are 0-5 in the Catholic League.
