It was Roman who sealed this 52-48 PCL win in overtime.

Within the fourth quarter, the Explorers began to whittle away at their deficit and with a minute remaining the score was 42-37 with Roman still in the lead.

The Cahillites were starting to feel the win was theirs, but and 1 from La Salle Junior Jarrod Stukes made it a four-point game.

With just under 40 seconds left and the score at 45-40, La Salle’s Isaiah Jones buried a crucial three to put La Salle back into the game.

A free throw from Roman then made the score 46-43. La Salle needed three points and they got them from Senior Ryan McTamney who nailed a three in the final seconds to send the game to overtime.

The excitement among the La Salle students died down quickly though as Roman pulled ahead in overtime.

Roman’s Tony Car sealed the deal scoring four of his 15 game points for the Cahillite win.
