WYNDMOOR, PA- Coming off a tough loss to Archbishop Wood on Friday, LaSalle looked to get back on track in their Sunday game against Bishop McDevitt. If regaining confidence was their goal, then the Explorers certainly succeeded.
Usually by the end of the first quarter it’s tough to determine how the game will end but in this case it wasn’t very difficult. La Salle quickly jumped out to a 12-0 start including 8 points from Ryan McTamney. While Bishop McDevitt struggled to score their first point, La Salle effortlessly finished the quarter up 26-4. This domination continued the whole game and it eventually finished 75-36.
La Salle was under no pressure throughout the whole game and held a comfortable lead of at least 20 points at all times. Despite putting up 75 points in total, no single La Salle player dominated the scoring and the points were spread out across the whole team. Usual points leader Ryan McTamney finished with 16 points and 3 others scored 10 points each. Twelve La Salle players got on the score sheet by the end of the game.
Next Sunday, La Salle wraps up their regular season with a rival match against St. Joe’s Prep at 1:30pm at La Salle
