HAVERTOWN – Senior Joe Wixted and junior Ryan Ferris scored two goals each, and freshman Trevor Giwerowski stopped every shot to lift Archbishop Ryan to a 4-0 victory over Roman Catholic in the Catholic League ice hockey club championship at Havertown’s Skatium.

“We started off slowly and tried to find some chemistry,” said Wixted. “Once we started to trust the system and started to play our game, we were fine.”

   Teammate Sean Boyle agreed, saying that when he and his teammates got past the early jitters, the Raiders flourished.

   “Play our game . . . stay out of the penalty box . . . keep moving our feet,” he said.
