HERSHEY, PA – Last night, Cardinal O’Hara took on Cumberland Valley in the PIAA AAAA State Championship. This was the Eagles third straight appearance in the State Title game and third time the team walked home as State Champions. Cumberland Valley’s Kelly Jekot lead her team on the floor with 28 points. The dominate offensive performance by the Eagles ultimately resulted in a 57-34 finish over the Lions.

Mackenzie Gardler led O’Hara in the paint with 11-points. Following Gardler were teammates Hannah Nihill scoring 10 and Mary Sheehan adding 8.

Despite the loss, O’Hara will be returning next year full throttle, as the team has no graduating seniors. The Lions will definitely strive to make a re-appearance in the PIAA 4A title game next season, with aspirations of walking away with the gold.
