BRYN ATHYN, PA- An outstanding effort by pitcher Sam O'Keefe carried the Baldwin Bears Varsity to a 3-1 win in seven innings over Academy of The New Church on Tuesday.

O'Keefe struck out 13 hitters in route to the Baldwin Bears Varsity win. O'Keefe allowed one earned run on one hit and one walk over seven innings.

The Bears’ pitcher lost her no-hit bid in the seventh inning on an RBI single by ANC pitcher Stevie Murphy.

Murphy lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed three runs.

The game's last lead went to the Bears thanks to a first inning rally that saw one run cross the plate on a sacrifice fly by Noelle Zimmerman.

The Bears brought home one run in the sixth inning on a groundout by Julia Kait scoring Sam Martin and matched that run total in the seventh.

Next game for the Bears is against league challenger Germantown Academy on April 8th at GA.
