DOWNINGTOWN, PA – Yesterday afternoon, William Penn Charter’s girls’ lacrosse team took the road against Downingtown West and did not leave without putting up a fight for a “W”.
Penn Charter senior, Hannah Fox, scored a goal with 12-seconds left to play, tying the game 10-10, and sending both teams into overtime.
In overtime, Fox then assisted teammate Macaul Mellor, who scored the game winner for the Quakers, leaving the final score 11-10.
With this win, Penn Charter enhances its early-season winning streak to three games. Looking ahead, the Quakers will play its first Inter-Ac game on the road against Springside Chestnut Hill next Tuesday, April 5th at 3:30pm.
