PHILADELPHIA – On Sunday, April 10th, the best 64 high school senior basketball players from the greater Philadelphia area took the floor to compete in the 29th Annual All Star Labor Classic Basketball Tournament held at the New Foundations Charter High School.
32 male athletes and 32 female athletes were split up into a City vs. Suburbs match-up. Each nominated player was awarded a scholarship to be used toward school books at his or her chosen university.
The All Star Labor Classic is sponsored by Philadelphia’s Organized Labor and benefits United Cerebral Palsy of Philadelphia and high school athletes. Since its inception, the All Star Labor Classic has raised over 2 million dollars for its supporting charities.
