WARMINSTER, PA – The Archbishop Wood Girls' Lacrosse Team is on fire as of late, grabbing yet another big conference win against Bonner-Prendergast on Wednesday, 15-5.
It starts off the same every game: with a face-off. Then, inevitably, Wood gets the ball, scores, scores, scores again, and then scores some more, leaving their opponents far out of reach of a comeback.
Wednesday's contest had a slight exception.
After Wood's first goal, Prendie put one on the board to tie the contest. Then, of course, came the onslaught, with Wood taking the lead by 6, then 7, then 8 goals, etc., all before the first half even ended. Goals were coming in from everywhere with contributions from the whole team, including Brenna Lynch and the seniors, and Emma Craparo and the juniors.
