PHILADELPHIA-This past weekend, William Penn Charter hosted the 2016 Inter-Ac League’s track and field championships. The competition began with trials taking place on Thursday, May 12th and culminated with the championship and awards presentation on Saturday, May 14th.
The two-day event was filled with stellar performances by close to 330 student athletes from The Academy of Notre Dame, Agnes Irwin School, Baldwin School, Episcopal Academy, Germantown Academy, Haverford School, Malvern Prep, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy and William Penn Charter School.
The Academy of Notre Dame took home the Inter-Ac Title for the girls’ track and field events with a combined score of 121.50.
Episcopal Academy came in second with a combined score of 113.75 and third place went to Springside Chestnut Hill Academy with a combined score of 98.
Germantown Academy claimed the boys’ Inter-Ac Title with a combined events score of 123.25.
Penn Charter came in second with a combined score of 88 followed by The Haverford School with a combined score of 82.25.
