Germantown Academy’s crew team also well represented at the SRAA National Regatta. GA senior Katie Aemisegger '16 (Oreland, PA) qualified out of heats and semifinals to make finals for the Varsity Single event. She finished fourth overall behind two opponents who beat her at the Stotesbury Regatta in Philadelphia and one more athlete, who ended up winning gold.

In GA's Lightweight Double boat, junior Lindsay Naber ’17 (Lower Gwynedd, PA) and senior Nina Tang ’16 (Dresher, PA) qualified to make finals, where they battled it out to earn a silver medal by a whopping 0.065 seconds over the third place crew and 1.075 seconds over the fourth place crew.

“We had a great experience at Nationals," said Tang, who plans to row for Columbia University next year. "It was very exciting with a lot of boats from all over. Lindsay and I faced a lot of great competition. We had raced half of the boats at Stotesbury already, but the other half, we had never met before so there was definitely an element of surprise in the competition.”

Looking Ahead: Episcopal Academy’s boys' JV4+ will race at the National Schools Regatta on the Schuylkill River on Saturday, June 11th. EA will also row at the US Rowing Youth Nationals in Mercer, New Jersey on June 10 - June 12.
