PHILADELPHIA – Yesterday afternoon, Malvern Prep traveled to play St. Joseph’s Prep in a non-league match-up.
The Friars and Hawks remained relatively even throughout the first two quarters of play, with Malvern edging St. Joe’s by one, 49-48, at the half.
The Hawks were able to hang on, trailing by just 8 points with four minutes remaining in the game, but Malvern had one last offensive push. The Friars scored 14-points in the final minutes giving them a 102-89 victory in North Philadelphia.

Standouts: Malvern Prep freshman guard, Deuce Turner, totaled 38 points. SJP juniors, Edward Croswell and Darius Kinnel each scored 24 points for the Hawks.
