"Twenty-eight years ago, I felt that a school with the high academic standards as GA should also have high standards for its athletic program.  I am proud of the young men and women who do the GA athletic uniforms in all of our sports.  They are true student-athletes. As for the boys' basketball program, I had hoped that we would be a true competitor for league championships every year while competing throughout the United States in an attempt to broaden the overall experience for the students," said Fenerty.

Fenerty, announced that he will be retiring this year as the school’s athletic director, a post he has held for 22 years. He will remain as the varsity boys’ basketball coach, Upper School advisor and history teacher. Fenerty will also serve as a liaison to help guide student athletes and their families through the college recruiting process.

With this win, the Patriots evened their league record at 1-1 and improved to 11-4 on the season. Senior Evan-Eric Longino led all scorers with 27 points making 12 shots from the field. Fellow senior Kyle McCloskey scored 16.
