SPRINGFIELD, PA—La Salle College High School’s volleyball team’s determination to get to the Philadelphia Catholic League final was illustrated once again in Friday’s semifinal match-up between Archbishop Wood.
The Explorers who retained a (12-0) league record defeated the Vikings 3-1 and will advance to the PCL Championship Title game this Monday.
La Salle won the first set and it looked as though the Vikings were regaining momentum with a comeback win in the second. But it was the Explorers who sealed the victory winning the match in four sets.
The Explorers will face No. 3 seed St. Joseph’s Prep in the Championship match at 6 p.m. this Monday at Neumann University.
