GLENSIDE, PA – Yesterday afternoon the Philadelphia Catholic League girls’ softball semifinals took place at Arcadia University, after being rained out Monday afternoon.
In the first match-up, No. 2 Saint Hubert’s took on No. 9 Lansdale Catholic. The Bambies came away with a 6-1 victory. The Crusaders finished the regular season with a 5-7 PCL record. Lansdale Catholic’s most notable win occurred in the post-season when the Crusaders knocked off No. 1 seed Archbishop Wood in a 9-3 victory.
In the second game, No. 6 Bonner-Prendie faced No. 4 Archbishop Ryan. The Pandas upset the defending PCL champions in a 9-4 win. The Ragdolls finished the regular season with a 9-3 PCL record.
Today, Saint Hubert’s and Bonner-Prendie will take the field in the 2017 PCL softball championship. The first pitch is scheduled for 4:00pm at Arcadia University.
