STATE COLLEGE, PA - On Saturday June 17, Penn State University hosted the Lion Strong 7 on 7 Passing Camp and Big Man Challenge football clinics. Talented athletes from over 50 high schools from across the region came to Happy Valley to showcase their skills to college coaches, including the coaching staff of the Nittany Lions.
The day was filled with non-stop action that took place on a total of 24 football fields. Each game during the 7 on 7 Passing Camp lasted for 22 minutes. In Beaver Stadium, linemen competed in the “Lion Strong Big Man Challenge” competition. These events consisted of combine like activities allowing players to participate in numerous drills to further develop their on-field techniques.
At each event, two to three PSU football players were there to help assist the athletes in performing to the best of their abilities.
While the day was hot, every participant had a smile on their face, including the committed parents who were invited to watch the various drills from the sidelines.
