PHILADELPHIA – On Friday, October 6 Neumann-Goretti headed to Bonner-Prendie to clash on the field in a Friday night Catholic League Blue Division showdown.

Senior running back Chris Wells notched the first touchdown of the game to put the Saints on the board 6-0. In the second quarter the Saints scored three more touchdowns by senior tight end Kharon Lloyd, Chris Wells and senior wide receiver Jaron Macon. At the start of the second half, it seemed almost impossible for the Friars' offense to gain momentum.  That is until halfway into the 3rd quarter when Bonner-Prendie’s sophomore wide receiver Dan Donohue caught a 20-yard throw from sophomore QB Michael Standen for a touchdown. Unfortunately, this would be the only touchdown of the game for the Friars as they fell to Neumann-Goretti with a final score of 42-6.

The Saints (5-0, 3-0 PCL) will play again this Saturday October 14 where they will host Lansdale Catholic for their senior night game with a start time of 6 p.m. Bonner-Prendie (1-6, 1-3 PCL) will play tomorrow night at Widener University, game starts at 8 p.m.
