Senior QB Will Samuel has completed 50 0f 94 passes for 824 yards and five touchdowns, and he has rushed for a score.

BLUE DEVIL CHAT: “After getting a win last week, it really put us back into favorable position,” said senior wide receiver/linebacker Jack Elliott. “We control our own destiny right now and just have to keep playing like we did last week. Playing Penn Charter, the challenge is going to be stopping the run, and with our guys up front, we should be able to do that. Other than that, with the players we have, it's really just about minimizing the mistakes and playing our best football.”
“This game is very important to everyone on the team, not just because of any past conflicts with Penn Charter, but because this game will help us set ourselves apart from the other teams in the Inter-Ac,” said senior wide receiver/defensive back Myles Hugee. “Getting the respect that we deserve as a team is a big priority of mine, and, of course, winning the Inter-Ac is our main goal. The only thing we have to do to win this game is play the sound, disciplined football that we usually play. Finishing games has been the motivation of our summer workouts this year, and us finishing this game will be very crucial to our success.”

QUAKER CHAT: “This week’s game, just as every other Inter-AC game, is very important to us,” said junior wide receiver/defensive back Terence Thompson. “We treat each Inter-Ac game like a playoff game, knowing the importance of a win and the effect it will have on our season. Each win counts in reaching our goal for an Inter-Ac championship, which drives us to come ready to practice every day of the week leading up to our games. In order to win this game, it is important for our defense to continue playing as well as they have been and dominate all four quarters.”

“This is a big game for us because we had a tough loss week one of our league against Malvern Prep and we have a goal to win out for the rest of the season,” said junior tight end/defensive end Ryan Maloney. “To win this game, our defense needs to play physical and our offense needs to make plays all around. If we execute, hopefully will come out with the W.”
This is just as important as any other game we play in the Inter-Ac,” said junior running back/defensive back Eddie Saydee. “Every game we play is like a playoff game. We have a couple people beat up from last week’s game, but we have young players to step up and play their part. We plan on setting the tone by playing to our best ability on offense, defense, and special teams.”

Prediction: Sometimes there’s only one way to guess a winner when two teams match each other so closely . . . with the home team. Not a whole lot of scoring, but Penn Charter enjoys the rest of its weekend after a 17-13 victory.
