To Our Philadelphia Eagles,
You hear us cheer, sing and on occasion, boo. This is our chance to say “THANK YOU,” for bringing the joy of football back to the City of Brotherly Love. Philly and football, go together like the cheese and the steak. The green that runs through our veins is real and we have been waiting our whole lives for this moment.
Thank you to our offense for every third and long conversion, every touch down dance and the opportunity to sing “Fly Eagles Fly.” Thank you defense for every goal-line stand, interception, fumble and sack. Thank you to our special teams for running down every ball, making a conscious decision to take a knee and for making 50+ yard field goals look easy. Thank you for cheering with us on the sidelines and for acknowledging our passion during your interviews. Thank you for working as a team, for not giving up until the final whistle and battling through adversity.

I want to dedicate my thank you to the big men, the O-line! The front is the best in the NFL! I would particularly like to point out the first time, 1st Team All-Pro play of right guard, Brandon Brooks! Prior to the season, I had the pleasure of meeting Brandon at a charity function where everyone was talking about building a 5-year plan to the Super Bowl around Carson Wentz. I quietly mentioned to Brandon afterwards that I really had it with another "process" and Brandon said he didn't want to wait 5 years either! He wanted to win now! We laughed and he went out and played every game like he meant it! Fly Eagles Fly!!!

Since 2008, my family and I have been lucky enough to be Season Ticket Holders at Lincoln Financial Field. Since 2008, we have sat in traffic on the turnpike commuting from Reading to South Philadelphia each home game Sunday. Since 2008, we sat in our seats until the clock said 00:00…through 4-12, through Chip Kelly’s 3-and-out paloozas and through both home playoff losses to Green Bay & New Orleans. However, not once did the thought creep into our mind, “Should we stop getting season tickets?”
We have cheered, cursed and cried over the Philadelphia Eagles but one thing never changed – the love for our team. This season has been so special because of one simple thing, these players CARE just as much as we do. For the first time as an Eagles fan, I know that no matter what the scoreboard says, our Philadelphia Eagles will be giving all they have for their 52 brothers next to them, the coaches leading them and the city which stands behind them.

What does this Eagles Super Bowl run mean to me? Why would I like to give the Eagles organization a huge hug?
1) The Eagles hail from Philadelphia, and I love every Philadelphia sports team. If Philly started a professional Tiddly Winks team, I’d buy a shirt. So I am beyond psyched by this team’s incredible effort.
2) My children, Kate and Blaise, and their friends are having the time of their life watching this unfold. Make my children happy and I’m putty in your hands.

3) The most important reason is this: My sister Linda lost her 45-year-old daughter Cindy to cancer in June of 2016. She needs a major pick me up. An Eagles Super Bowl championship and subsequent parade would give her a reason to be incredibly happy for a little bit of time. That . . . is priceless.
