BOYS' VOLLEYBALL: PCL Semifinal Round-Up, La Salle and Archbishop Wood Land in the Finals After Defeating Lansdale Catholic and St. Joe's Prep

Semifinal Game 1: No. 1 La Salle College vs. No. 4 Lansdale Catholic

WYNDMOOR, PA – Top seeded La Salle College High School hosted Lansdale Catholic this past Saturday afternoon in the 2018 Philadelphia Catholic League boys’ volleyball semifinal.

The Explorers defeated the Crusaders in three sets: 25-4, 26-24, 25-13.

La Salle looks to obtain its fourth PCL championship title in five years tonight at Neumann-University. The match is scheduled to being at 6:00 PM.

Semifinal Game 2: No. 2 Archbishop Wood vs. No. 3 St. Joseph's Prep

WARMINSTER, PA – About 20 minutes away from La Salle, Archbishop Wood was hosting St. Joseph’s Prep in the second Philadelphia Catholic League boys’ volleyball semifinal match-up.

This match went back-and-forth, ultimately with the Vikings securing a spot in the championship with a 3-1 victory. Wood won the first match 25-17, but the Prep battled back to claim the second set 25-23. The Vikings regrouped and won the last two sets with close scores of 25-19 and 25-20.

Wood will take the floor this evening with hopes of dethroning the reigning champions starting at 6:00 PM at Neumann-University.
