FIELD HOCKEY: Philadelphia Catholic League is Underway

PHILADELPHIA-- Falls sports are in full swing and the Philadelphia Catholic League girls' field hockey teams took to the fields this past week for their season openers.

Defending PCL Champions the lady Pandas of Bonner-Prendergast defeated Conwell-Egan 6-0.

Archbishop Carroll had a 15-0 victory against St. Huberts.

Cardinal O'Hara came home with a 7-0 win against Bishop McDevitt.

Archbishop Wood edged Ryan 4-0 in their home opener. 

Philly Sports Digest caught up with Archbishop Wood's senior goalie Kayley Hence after the game and asked: What can we expect from Wood field hockey this season?

PCL Field hockey resumes Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Conwell Egan will host Archbishop Carroll.

Lansdale Catholic will have a home game against Bonner-Prendergast.

Archbishop Ryan will host Little Flower.

Bishop McDevitt will play home against Archbishop Wood.

St. Hubert's will host Cardinal O' Hara.

Game times are 3:45 p.m.
